Power Permissions
Aug. 3rd, 2015 09:27 pmIn Mask Or Menace, one of Alduin's powers is Soul Sensing. It's pretty much what he says on the tin: he can "read" a person's soul in broad strokes, and therefore glean some information about what kind of person they are. This can range anywhere from telling if they're magical or immortal or just a plain ol' human, to if their soul is dark and twisted, or burdened with some deep secret. Or maybe it's happy, healthy, and blindingly bright?
Obviously I won't have Alduin use this ability without permission from the other player first, so that's what this post is for! If you're interested in having Alduin get a read on your character's soul, comment here and let me know what kind of information he would receive if he did use this power!
Keep in mind that he cannot see anything particularly detailed about a person's life, such as the play-by-play of their tragic past or what they had for dinner. This is more of a feel for the other character's personality, their inner strengths and weaknesses, whether or not they're confident or weak, supernatural or not, etc. etc.
Other than that, feel free to take liberties with your character's soul. This power was mostly chosen for plot and CR-building purposes, so don't hesitate to use it as a tool to achieve such things!
